چکیده

Abstract Epoxy resins with varying amounts of MoO 3 were theoretically investigated for their radiation shielding ability at low energies (between 0.0395 and 0.344 MeV). The quantity varied from 0 to 30%, relevant parameters obtained analyzed Phy-X software. half value layer (HVL) the demonstrated that increasing content improved space-efficiency prepared samples all tested energies, leading Mo4 sample, epoxy resin greatest having smallest HVL. Additionally, mean free path materials has an inverse relationship density, which increased additional . tenth ratio between Mo1 illustrated how introduction Mo a much greater effect on thickness reduction lower than higher due photoelectric phenomena. Z eff N showed benefitted different energies.

Heavy metal pad shielding during fluoroscopic interventions.

Significant direct and scatter radiation doses to patient and physician may result from routine interventional radiology practice. A lead-free disposable tungsten antimony shielding pad was tested in phantom patients during simulated diagnostic angiography procedures. Although the exact risk of low doses of ionizing radiation is unknown, dramatic dose reductions can be seen with routine use of ...
